Opus
Information Architecture • Website Redesign • UI
We were asked to redesign the agency’s website, improve its functionality, match the new branding Leo Burnett developed, and change how Opus Agency was being presented to the world. They felt their current website was not capable of transmitting the real idea and personality of the agency.
The new design was implemented to modernize and optimize the website, focusing on a circular flow. This was not a “mobile first” project, since we were presented with the shocking number of only 16% of the website access coming from mobile.
Project developed at Leo Burnett Toronto.
Throughout the project development, we maintained a consistent emphasis on the website's primary objectives and optimal strategies to attract both clients and talent.
To begin, I conducted an audit of the client's existing website and evaluated the content. Together with the client, we determined which elements to retain, discard, and incorporate into the new website. Utilizing this knowledge, I developed the information architecture for the redesigned website.
Original website.
Proposed IA.
Following the approval of the information architecture, I proceeded to sketch out screens and create wireframes. Initially, I focused on designing the main pages to provide the client with an accurate impression of the website's look and feel.
Once we aligned on the design direction, I extended this approach to encompass the entire website, from the homepage to the privacy policy page.
Throughout the design process, I suggested animations and iterations to enhance the user experience.
Low fidelity wireframes
Throughout the project development, we maintained consistent communication with the client to ensure that the website's primary objectives remained at the forefront of our design process.
After receiving approval on the wireframes, I collaborated with Leo's Art Director and design team, who were simultaneously engaged in a rebranding effort for Opus Agency. Together, we worked to ensure that the new website design and branding efforts were aligned and that we delivered a premium digital product of the highest quality.
Throughout the entirety of the project, I served as a connection between the design team, the development team, and the client. Working closely with our developers, I ensured that the design was being executed effectively while remaining feasible.
When challenges arose, I worked collaboratively with both the design and development teams to identify and implement solutions that would not only satisfy the client's requirements but also deliver the best possible user experience.
